Quali Torque Simplifies OpenTofu & Other Infrastructure as Code Resources

Leverage IaC

Quali Torque functions as a control plane for Infrastructure as Code and other application resources so you can simply point and click to run the infrastructure and environments you need.

AI Infrastructure Orchestration

Submit basic AI prompts describing how your IaC resources should be configured and Quali Torque will automatically design that environment and generate a reusable Environment as Code template to provision it.

Self-Service Launch

Democratize access for developers and other teams to launch infrastructure and environments leveraging your OpenTofu resources in just a few clicks, all while managing role-based permissions, security authentication, and cloud governance policies automatically.

Continuous Optimization

Quali Torque helps to improve performance, security, and cost efficiency by automatically denying resources that violate your custom policies, automating critical Day-2 actions on your live infrastructure and environments, and notifying your teams when your OpenTofu resources encounter errors or configuration drift.

Cost & Activity Reports

Track all activity and associated costs by the users and teams responsible for them so you can act on opportunities to improve efficiency proactively.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quali Torque connects to your Git repositories, identifies all the files within them—including Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm Charts, and native Kubernetes manifests—and allows you to choose the assets to import.

Once created, Torque enables users to launch individual cloud resources defined in those files quickly and easily. Those with admin-level permissions can set default values for parameters and security credentials within Torque’s native encryption for secrets management. This allows users to provision their OpenTofu and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules in a single click.

Torque also uses generative AI to orchestrate environments leveraging the resource configurations defined in the user’s OpenTofu and other IaC modules. Admins can submit natural-language AI prompts describing the resources they need and the environment they should run, and Torque will automatically generate a reusable blueprint defining that environment.

Once defined, administrators can launch the environment directly from Torque, add it to Torque’s native self-service catalog, and choose to export it so they can launch and update environments directly from their Git repositories.

Torque also automates Day-2 actions on the infrastructure and environments defined via OpenTofu, enforces custom cloud governance policies by denying the provisioning of any resource that violates them, detects configuration drift automatically, and provides reporting so administrators can see how users are using their IaC resources.

Absolutely not. Torque blueprints embrace and extend existing OpenTofu modules.

Torque is designed to leverage the user’s OpenTofu and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules to accelerate the orchestration and deployment of environments. This includes environments that require multiple infrastructure components and application services, even when those resources were defined using different tools.

Think of Quali Torque as a unified control plane for all your infrastructure assets.

Yes! Torque leverages the user’s OpenTofu and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules to create reusable Environment as Code modules that can launch an application environment repeatedly.

Some of our users opt to export these Environment as Code modules as YAML files and manage them through their Git repositories. This enables users to launch and modify environments by simply committing code in Git.

Through this approach, Torque allows users to leverage their OpenTofu resources to generate reusable assets allowing them to define and treat environments the same way they treat IaC.

Quali Torque leverages the user’s OpenTofu resources to generate reusable blueprints that can be used to launch complete environments, such as dev or test environments.

After connecting a Git repository and importing IaC assets, the user can submit natural-language AI prompts describing the environment they need. Based on those prompts. Torque will generate the environment blueprint automatically.

After integrating a CI/CD tool, Torque can automatically deploy environments at the onset of a new stage of the CI/CD pipeline, then shut that environment down after that stage is complete. This level of automation helps to remove friction from pipelines while also preventing waste from idle cloud resources.

Torque currently supports deployment on infrastructure within Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and CircleCI.

Torque eliminates the need to enter cloud account credentials and other secrets just to provision cloud infrastructure defined via OpenTofu or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Those with administrator-level permissions can set cloud account credentials centrally within the account settings in their Torque account, using Torque’s native encryption for secrets management.

This allows administrators to distribute role-based access to other users so they can provision infrastructure and environments without the need to enter cloud account credentials.
