Welcome to this month’s roundup of product enhancements for Quali Torque.

If you’re not familiar, Torque is a platform engineering tool that makes it easier to run and optimize cloud-based infrastructure and environments at scale.

For an introduction to Quali Torque, watch this brief demo:

Here are this month’s updates:

Auto-Generate Infrastructure as Code Files with Cloud Curate

Reusability is fundamental to efficiency in the cloud. One of the most common challenges we help Torque users address is the ability to leverage reusable assets for cloud resources.

This month we are excited to announce the availability of Cloud Curate, which transforms resource management by:

  • Discovering resource configurations in the user’s public cloud accounts, and
  • Automatically generating downloadable open source Terraform files defining the state of those resource configurations

This new capability bridges the gap between discovery and IaC, accelerating the creation of an inventory of cloud assets that can be leveraged to run and optimize environments via Torque.

With plans to convert curated collections into Torque-managed environments, Cloud Curate promises a fully integrated approach to resource management, delivering the power of orchestration, tagging, and day-2 operations for unparalleled operational efficiency.

Too many DevOps, IT, and engineering teams waste their time with redundant, manual processes for building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Our next 30-minute Torque Talk webinar will show how Torque users can make IaC easy to use at scale by:

  • Automatically codifying resource configurations discovered via the user’s cloud accounts as ready-to-use IaC modules and state files
  • Accelerating the creation of stateful, managed environments leveraging all IaC their modules with Generative AI
  • Automating the execution of Day-2 actions and policy enforcement to streamline maintenance and governance at scale
  • Tracking how IaC resources are used among environments, teams, and users to make informed decisions about code updates and resource utilization

Torque Copilot Generative AI Bot

Toque’s new Generative AI chatbot revolutionizes user support by automating the creation of new resources—such as code defining environment blueprints or policies—and providing instant, accurate answers to user questions sourced from extensive documentation.

This capability empowers users to quickly resolve issues, explore features, and learn best practices, significantly enhancing productivity and reducing the learning curve for using Torque effectively.

Torque’s new AI Copilot automatically generates code for environments and policies, while answering user questions on product functionality.

Environment Publishing: Sharing Live Outputs to Support Multiple Environments

In many cases, several users may need to leverage identical infrastructure resources—for example, Kubernetes clusters, relational databases, or virtual private clouds—as inputs for separate environments.

Torque’s new Environment Publishing feature introduces the ability to share environment outputs across projects or spaces that possess distinct lifecycles. Users will be able to leverage newly published environments as inputs when provisioning new environments.

This functionality facilitates the seamless dissemination of environments for consumption by other environments, thereby optimizing resource utilization and enhancing dependency management.

Torque’s environment publishing eliminates redundant deployment of resources by making individual environment outputs accessible as inputs to support several distinct environments concurrently.

Scheduled Launch of Environments

The new scheduling capability in Torque allows users to plan environment launches for a future date and time, adding flexibility and control to resource management.

This feature streamlines operations by aligning environment readiness with project timelines or specific events, reducing manual effort while ensuring that infrastructure is available precisely when needed, enhancing productivity and operational efficiency.

Scheduled launch of environments allows users to automate deployments ahead of time, without requiring manual intervention.
